This is the privacy policy for Third Rail, a subway app for straphangers in New York City, effective April 7, 2026.
Location Data: The app requests your location in order to show your position on the subway map, calculate routes, and provide other features for the app. This location data is processed entirely on your device. Third Rail's servers never receive your location data.
Third Rail does not transmit personal data off your device. Our app does not embed any first- or third-party analytics software, and our servers do not collect or handle personal data of any kind. Apple may collect usage and diagnostic data for all apps on your device through the App Store; see Apple's privacy policy for details.
Third Rail may store and process location history, favorite locations, settings, and other personal data locally on your device to enable app functionality. This data is deleted when you delete the app from your device.
Changes to this policy: At least 30 days before any new policy takes effect by default, we will update both uglycomputer.net/privacy and the privacy policy listed in the app.
